This white paper is designed to help the reader understand the principals and benefits of the nOrh Loudspeaker. Our work has been a labor of love. We love the music. We love the science. We love the art. Most importantly, we love reviving a nearly dead artform and putting Thais to work.

I have been an audiophile for over 25 years. I learn for the good old days when HIFI and music had something to do with one another. I abhor the talk that goes on these days as people argue about whether or not electrons can remember what sort of wire they passed through. There is so much goofiness going on in audio these days that it makes me sick.

I believe that there are real and financial limits to what can be achieved. I do believe that better wire has an impact. However there is a limit to what a person can achieve with wire. I think that the same is true for every component in the audio chain.

There is no such thing as a "one-size-fits-all" audio system. I would never suggest that the nOrh Loudspeaker meets everyone's needs or tastes. What I do believe is that we are building the best loudspeakers possible in the price range we are addressing. I believe there are many loudspeakers that sell for many more times the nOrh Loudspeaker that do not perform as well. In some cases, it is because they use cheaper drivers. In other cases it is simply that building boxes is not the best way to build speakers.

We are building the best product we know how to build without doing something absolutely goofy like using solid gold wire or capacitors personally blessed by the Pope. We are using the best drivers and crossovers and we are building a cabinet that adds a special quality to the sound.
